This was such a busy week!  We didn't have any days with normal routines.  We did have a lot of fun though!   A huge thank you to all of our wonderful parent volunteers this week.  I could not have pulled this week off without you!  This week's blog will be all pictures!  Enjoy!

Thank you Mrs Fitch for teaching us science this week!  We learned about force and motion.

We are trying out pushes and pulls around the classroom.

Recording our thinking in our launch logs.  Check your child's backpack to see what we did this week!

Show and Tell!

Learning about friction.

Trying out pushes and pulls on different surfaces to see how much force we need to use.

These are called Goldiblocks.  You need different amounts of force depending on how you set yours up.

Hanging in the hall waiting for PE to start.

Hyvee here we come!

They were all so excited to see the fruit!!! It made me laugh to see how happy they were about food.  :)

This awesome lady showed us how to make a rose out of frosting.

We even got to go in the freezer!

And the store room too!

Stopping to smell the roses.

After our tour we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and enjoyed a little downtime coloring.

A few sweet pictures of some sweet little girls.

Back to school!

Now we enjoy our treats!  Thank you Hyvee!

Learning about collisions.  We sure had fun making our own!

Another show and tell!

Learning about how much force is needed to move things that are heavy or light.

We made slides to share our good work.

Learning about how much force is needed to go up a ramp.

We will soon have international day at BEU.  Each classroom is learning about a country.  Our country is Japan.  Here are some things that we learned.  We will get to tour some other countries on international day on May 10th.

We learned about Japanese Cherry Blossoms and the tradition to feast under the cherry trees while they are in bloom.  We painted out own cherry blossom trees and they sure are beautiful!

We used straws to blow the paint to make the trees.

Then we used out fingers to make the beautiful flowers!

Check them out!!!  They are gorgeous!!!

Turtle show and tell

It's tie dye time!

Our final science project.  We used materials to create a way to move some rocks.  Check out some of our designs!

Phew!  What a week!  Have a great weekend!
