Today we learned about Hanukkah. We read some books brought in by one of our friends who celebrates both Christmas and Hanukkah. We learned about the tradition of lighting a menorah. Then we made paper collage menorahs to honor this tradition.
A couple more friends shared their families traditions today. It's so neat to hear about all the wonderful things our families do each year.
This friend has a family snowball fight each year with giant marshmallows! He also gets a visit from Santa at his Mimi and Papa's house. He and his cousins tell him what they'd like for Christmas.
This friend makes cookies each year with her mom.
This friend gets a Christmas eve gift of pajamas, candy and a movie. He also puts the star on his tree each year!
We hung up our finished poinsettias today! Check them out!
