What a week (or two!)

Sunday, February 12, 2017
Last week we had tons of special events!  At our Monday Meeting we learned that our school will nominate Coach C for the teacher of the year.  You can write a letter in support of him too!
We went to the steam bus on Monday.  The steam bus is a traveling classroom that does math and science around the district!  We celebrated the end of our measurement study by measuring on the steam bus with Legos!

On Tuesday it would have been Beulah Ralph's 90th birthday.  We did lots to celebrate.  Check it out!

Brown bag lunch was awesome!  We all had so much fun sharing our writing and sharing lunch!

Thursday was the 100th day of school.  Mrs. Wrong came to sub!  The kids weren't sure what to think!  We made crowns with 100 objects, did 100 piece puzzles, made necklaces with 100 fruit loops, talked about what we would buy with 100 dollars, and dress like we were 100.  It was super fun!

Here's a quick recap of this week's learning.
Math:  Counting all to add.
Reading:  Non-fiction vs Fiction & Non-Fiction text features
Writing:  Writing Informational books

We had puzzle day this week too!  We talked about how problem solvers try something and if it doesn't work they try it a different way.  We shared puzzles and problem solved together!

Happy half birthday friend!  Thanks for sharing donuts!

Phew!  I'm exhausted just thinking about it all!  Here's to two super fun weeks!  See you at conferences this week!
