Words cannot express how grateful I am for your kindness and generosity this week.  I feel so loved and appreciated.  So many nice cards and gifts.  On Friday, I was overwhelmed with emotion as I opened up my last gift.  I have so enjoyed your children this year.  They are remarkable people and that is a testament to your great parenting.  This class will be one I will treasure forever.  It is hard to believe that the year is coming to a close.  There will be a few tears shed I can tell.

We have had a fun week.  Much of our week has been devoted to our Mother's day craft.  Blood, sweat (from me) and tears (not too many :) went into these wonderful projects.  I made some of these with my own children and I absolutely adore them so I thought I would try it with our kids too.  With in the first few minutes of the project we had a little snip happen.  This guy was a real trooper.

He casually told me he was bleeding and held it together all the way to the doctor.  No stitches thank goodness!  We are so glad he is okay!  He came back the next day and finished the project like a champ.  We worked on them over the course of several days and they turned out amazing.  The kids worked so hard to carefully put together each piece.  A lot of love went into these beautiful creations.   I won't post these pictures yet so I don't spoil the surprise.  The kids are super excited to share them for you.  They are for you too Dads since we won't get to celebrate you in June!

Here are some pictures from the last two weeks.  (Sorry I didn't get to last week's blog!)

Happy birthday friend!  Thanks for sharing treats!

HyVee Field Trip.  It was amazing!

We were so good they took us into the back florist case!  They said we were the only class they've ever taken back there.

We have caterpillars!  Right before our very eyes they turned into chrysalis.

Congrats to our citizen of the month!  We are proud of you!

It's so beautiful outside that we had some dancing going on.

Stay tuned for pictures of the Mother's Day craft.  I'll post them next week.  We are so proud of how they turned out.
