Thank you to everyone for coming to conferences this week! I very much enjoy spending time with you and sharing all the wonderful things your children are doing. Next week is our first full five day week in a long time! Let's hope for no weather. We have a busy week. We are doing a science unit with Mrs. Fitch our media specialist. We will be learning about pushes and pulls. This will take the majority of the morning each day. Because of this we will not be having reading groups. We will get back into our solid reading group routine the following week. We are also going on a library field trip next Tuesday. No volunteers are needed. We will leave in the morning and be back by lunch.
Here are our learning objectives for the week:
Reading: Cross checking the picture and the first letter of a word.
Writing: Writing three non-fiction sentences about an animal
Math: number writing, shapes puzzles
Fundations: when to use a c or k, tapping and blending three letter words that begin with c or k
