What a wonderful week!

You guys... I seriously adore your children!  They are absolutely the most darling group of little people.  I am amazed at how well they are picking up on our routines.  I am super impressed with their ability to follow directions.   These two days have been mostly devoted to learning the lay of the land.  We have talked lots about where to put things and how to get from place to place.  Some of the routines we've learned are:  how to line up, how to walk in a line, when to use the bathroom, what to do when a pencil breaks, where to put supplies and quite a few more.  This group has an amazing attention to detail.  They want to know just how and where to put things and I so appreciate that.  I know I have thrown so much information at them in just two days.  I'm sure they will be tired tonight!
With all those routines we did have a little fun too.  We danced. (a lot!)  We explored math manipulatives.  We drew self portraits. They aren't quite ready for the big reveal just yet!  We tried out our crayons and scissors by coloring and cutting out birthday cakes.  We will talk about our birthdays next week and hang these around a bulletin board to help us celebrate class birthdays.   We even practiced for our eclipse next Monday.     Here are some pictures from our first couple days.  There are tons!  Enjoy!  Keep scrolling to the bottom for some reminders and upcoming events.
