And the countdown begins.

Only four days left.  It seems like mid-year it felt like forever, and then all of a sudden it was the end in an instant.  We visited a first grade classroom this week to ask some questions about what might be in store.  I was impressed with the questions our kids asked.  They got the chance to listen to the first graders read books from their book boxes too.  I definitely think this eased some worries.

We have really enjoyed our pushes and pulls unit with Mrs. Fitch.  She taught us that a force is a push or a pull.

We did sorting for math this week.  We sorted the same objects in multiple ways.  We sorted by color and by shape.  Check out some of our sorting!

Congratulations to our Citizen of the Month!  We are proud of you!

Happy Birthday Friend!  Thanks for sharing treats!

Monday is field day.  Here are some things you need to know:
  • Please dress in weather appropriate play clothes.  No swimming suits please.
  • Your child may bring a change of clothes in case they get wet.
  • Your child can bring a towel and a hat.
  • It should be a super fun day!  Let's hope for nice weather!
Next Thursday is our last day!  We hope you can join us for our end of the year picnic.  It will begin at 10:00 in the gym.  We have some neat things planned.  Look for a special invitation in your child's backpack tomorrow.
