December is upon us!

Over the next few weeks we are going to be learning about many different holidays from around the world.  So far this week we have learned about Mexico, Germany and Italy.  Ask your child to see if they can tell you some facts we learned!

Here are our learning objectives for the week:
Fundations:  Uppercase letter formation, segmenting and blending to read words
Reading:  Making connections
Writing:  Using the word wall to spell, saying words slow and writing the words you hear
Math:  exploring calculators, graphing favorite colors, quickly recognizing quantities on a 10s frame.
Social Studies:  Holidays around the world

Happy birthday friend!  Thanks for sharing treats!

We read The Legend of the Poinsettia by Tomie DePaola to learn about a tradition from Mexico.  Here we are painting Poinsettias.

Our graph showing our favorite colors.  We talked about most and least and how many each category had.

Exploring calculators

Ugly Sweater day!  I didn't get them all.  Here's just a couple cuties.
