Holidays Around the World

Thursday, December 12, 2019
Holidays around the world continues.  This week we learned about traditions in Sweden, Israel, Australia, India, and we even learned about Kwanzaa.  We have all enjoyed comparing and contrasting the various holidays.  Next week as a culmination to all our holiday learning we will be sharing our own family traditions.   There is more information in your child's Friday Folder.

Next week on Friday we will have a kindergarten Cozy Day.  On Friday we will be wearing our PJs, bringing blankets, pillows and stuffed animals and enjoying a movie.   We will have hot chocolate and enjoy our last day together before break.

This week's learning objectives:
Reading:  word families, segmenting and blending words
Writing:  Stretching words to spell
Math:  Skip Counting, shapes within shapes, calculator math
Fundations:  Uppercase letter formation I-P, reading three letter words
Social Studies:  learning about customs and traditions that are different than my own
